Often in employment matters, employees are injured and receive some type of work restrictions from a medical professional. I recently had a client whose doctor placed limitations on him at work, and his work was not accommodating for those restrictions. In the state of California, an employer is required to engage in an interactive process to determine if there’s accommodations available for the employee, and they’re required to do this under the law. Oftentimes, employers will not engage in this interactive process and will push the employee aside.
